Tasks
Cleanup! Cleanup! Every body do your share!
If you know you know.
Now that I have left Daikin, what better way to refresh myself than to purge and cleanup from thoughts past to make way for what is to come.
- Reorganize all cables (take everything apart, put it all back together)
- Clean desk and floor
- Purchase new cabinet to store excess junk
- Purchase new carpet sticker for under my chair
- Start reload of OS on my wiped desktop PC I was using as a server
Discussions with Umorpha
Why Umorpha?
I’ve started discussions with Umorpha, my goal was to join with that business that has the goal of making open source HVAC products as well. It made sense to work with or for Umorpha so I could have collaborators on my projects. I am notoriously ADD and having accountability is one of the best ways to keep me on track. In addition, the goals that Umorpha has and the groundwork they have already done are admirable, why would I think it prudent to “redo” those things?
The Meat and Potatoes
Jason Prince and I have had many conversations up till now. He has been (and still is) encourage to my goals and mindset and I can’t appreciate that enough. My one concern is that this week we have continually met disconnections points. These might not be deal breakers, and I need to continue discussions to see how they pan out.
The main rub is that Jason does not believe I know well enough the history of Umorpha and the long endpoint of it’s goals. This might be completely valid, for it’s probably the greatest fool who thinks he knows something he might not. A fool can accomplish his goals, but you might want to bet against them.
I am advocating for moving forward, starting work and really showing progress. Jason has asked me for patience, holding off on rushing headlong into things before I understand the situation with Umorpha and everything he has learned. I am okay with this and so I will give it some time (2 weeks?).
